ePub Downloads!
We’re expanding our digital offerings!
At Living Book Press, we’ve always tried to make great books as accessible as possible. For years that’s meant including a free PDF with most physical book purchases*. Now we’re excited to announce that many of our titles will also include an ePub edition, giving you more flexibility in how you read.
So, which format is best for you?
PDF
PDFs are great when you want to preserve the original layout of the book—especially if it has a lot of images or carefully designed pages. They’re ideal for larger screens or if you plan to print a copy that looks just like the physical book.
On smaller devices, though, PDFs can be a bit clunky. You might find yourself zooming and scrolling more than reading.
ePub
ePubs are made for digital reading. You can adjust the text size, change fonts, and even switch background colours depending on your device. That makes them perfect for phones, eReaders, and smaller tablets.
But ePubs aren’t perfect for everything—if a book has lots of images or complex layouts, things might shift around a bit more than we’d like.
What this means going forward
From now on, we’ll be including an ePub version alongside the PDF for most new titles. The exception will be books that rely heavily on fixed layouts, like picture books. We’re also working through our backlist to add ePub files where we can.
We hope this makes your reading experience even better—whether you’re curled up with your tablet, printing a copy for your homeschool, or sneaking in a few pages on your phone.
Please visit this page for a list of all the books currently available as an ePub.
If there’s anything you’d love to see us improve—our books, our website, or anything else—please reach out. We love hearing from you.
* While we try to include a free digital copy with every physical purchase, there are a few exceptions. Sometimes, the rights holders require a royalty for each digital edition, which makes it too costly to offer for free.
